I was driving down the road without other vehicles nearby. There was no overpass nearby. I heard a deep, loud noise like a shotgun overhead. I opened my sliding sunroof cover and noticed that the entire window had spontaneously shattered (appeared pebbled throughout). The internal temperature of the car registered 101 degrees Fahrenheit. I kept the sliding panel closed and could hear pieces of the window detach as I drove home as the adhesive did not hold the window together. I contacted…

The driver's side exterior mirror on my 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser vibrates excessively while driving, particularly at highway speeds. The vibration causes the mirror image to become blurred, making it difficult to accurately monitor adjacent lances and surrounding traffic. It reduces rearward visibility and creates a potential safety hazard during lane changes. I reported the issue to Toyota multiple times. After repeated visits the mirror was replaced under a one-time goodwill repair. However,…

I purchased a Maxi-Cosi Peri 180 infant car seat and discovered what I believe may be a defect in the carrier-to-base locking mechanism. When the infant carrier is installed in the base and appears to be fully latched, the rear of the carrier can lift out of its locking slot with gentle upward pressure without using the release handle. The front of the carrier remains attached, but the rear partially disengages from the base. The child’s safety may be put at risk because the carrier does not…

1. Brake System Failure-Recurring dashboard warnings including “Brake Power Low” and “Secondary Collision Brake System Malfunction.” Warnings have appeared multiple times, including while towing a travel trailer. The vehicle was diagnosed with related fault codes (including DTC C138071 – Stop Lamp Relay). The problem returned after a dealer service visit. I do not consider the vehicle safe to drive or tow while these warnings are active. 2.Issue 2 – Engine (Metal Debris / Elevated Iron) Metal…

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving 80 MPH, the vehicle started leaning to the left and the right. The vehicle then overcorrected and abruptly swerved to the left and right again. The contact was concerned about the failure occurring while driving at higher speeds. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage…

The fuel line clip of the Land Cruiser got disconnected and started leaking gasoline while the engine was running. I had the car towed to Hammer Toyota and they had us pay for the hose to be reconnected. I’ve searched online and seen people have similar incidents, where the clip of the fuel line gets easily disconnected when driving over puddles. This happened as a defect, as no one had spent any time working under the car aside from the toyota dealership. I believe a similar issue has happened…
2025 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER HYBRID
Filed Jul 11, 2026
Fuel line connecting to the gas tank was found completely disconnected, causing a strong gasoline odor, significant spilled gasoline and multiple warning lights including hybrid malfunction. There is an orange plastic clip that connects the flexible tube from the tank to the rigid fuel line that runs to the engine and this clip was found detatched. Dealer confirmed that the fuel rail line disconnected. Dealer suspects poor seating of connector retainer clip from factory. Review of various…

I own a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 250 that I purchased in February 2025. Every time it rains, my car develops a strong musty, mildew-like smell inside the cabin. It usually fades after a few days of dry weather. This has been happening since I first got the car. It’s very annoying thing to happen on a new vehicle.
